MyShoppingGenie cannot
access the Internet.
MyShoppingGenie utilizes an
activation process to protect
from unauthorized use or abuse
of the product. The method
assumes the computer system you
are using has access to the
Internet and any virus
protection or firewall
installations have been set to
allow communication from
MyShoppingGenie to the Internet.
If
you cannot complete the
MyShoppingGenie setup you have
either entered an invalid
License Key or MyShoppingGenie
setup cannot access the
Internet. Verify your License
Key - if it is correct then see
the notes below.
Access to the Internet is
different from being connected
to the Internet.
Access to
the Internet means the
application itself has
permission from your computer to
communicate with the Internet.
In this case it means the
software needs to have
permission to connect to
MyShoppingGenie.com.
If MyShoppingGenie cannot access
the Internet it will not
function.
Here's what to do.
Check the help files or other
documentation that came with
your firewall and security
software to determine how to
give MyShoppingGenie permission
to access the Internet. Windows
Firewall helps provide security
for your computer and blocks unsolicited
requests to connect to your
computer. Because the firewall
restricts communication between
your computer and the Internet,
you might need to adjust
settings to give MyShoppingGenie
an open connection to the
Internet. Once you allow
MyShoppingGenie to communicate
through the firewall also check
any other security software you
may have installed. To learn

click your Windows Start button
> Help and Support and enter
Windows Firewall in the search
box.
If your security software needs
the name of the application exe
to grant access to the Internet,
the application name is:
mnumsg.exe
If your security software needs
the name of the web site to
grant access to the Internet,
the web site name is: http://www.MyShoppingGenie.com
Once you have established access
for MyShoppingGenie click your
Windows start button and select
All Programs > MyNet Universe
Inc > MyShoppingGenie to run
MyShoppingGenie.
